Miscellaneous Fabric (and thread painted) Art Cards
Fabric art cards are (almost) my newest passion. Their small size - from 3" up to 7" - forces me to get my thoughts on fabric in a very short length of time.
I use the raw-edge applique technique to sew snippets of fabric on extra firm fusible, then often further enhance with free motion thread painting - see the thread painted trees. I experimented with different color threads to liven them up a bit.
Others are just a varied collage of fabrics to create a work of art. I usually add grosgrain ribbon for ease in hanging over a door knob, under a refrigerator magnet, on a nail. These little ditties are just the greatest "nothing" gifts for just the right person. Enjoy the moment!
